Meghan Markle’s go-to black flats are back in stock – despite the 15,000-person waitlist

Originally published on

By now we know how “The Meghan-Effect” goes. Anytime the Duchess of Sussex wears something, you have just seconds to purchase it before you miss the mark – only to find yourself reading the two most dreadful words any shopper can hear: “SOLD OUT.”

From Meghan Markle’s minimal wardrobe filled with Everlane sweaters, Aritzia dresses and so on, there’s one brand that reigns supreme in the shoe department when she’s not strutting her favorite $750 Aquazzura pumps.

After months of being sold out and a 15,000-person waitlist, Nordstrom has re-stocked Meghan’s go-to black velvet slipper by Birdies.

Over the past few years, the brunette beauty has been spotted wearing these chic flats several times – even before her royal days! From her two-week-long royal tour with Prince Harry back in November to walking around Toronto, the Duchess always finds a way to incorporate the Starling slipper into her classic style.

Ryan Seacrest calls meeting Timothée Chalamet ‘an out-of-body experience’

Originally published on

When Ryan Seacrest isn’t live from the red carpet asking Joan Rivers’ favorite question “who are you wearing?,” he’s hosting his namesake morning radio show, co-hosting alongside Kelly Ripa in NYC and working on his mens apparel line with Macy’s.

All of which makes sense as to why he was honored with the Style Icon of the Year Award on Thursday night at the Fashion Scholarship Fund Awards dinner in New York City, where a total of $3.5 million was raised for students.

With awards season just at the outset, we can expect Seacrest to be on our television screens for the next few months. Most recently, the media mogul kicked off E!’s red carpet coverage for the Golden Globes, where Timothée Chalamet completely lost it over meeting him. When we asked Seacrest what it felt like to have America’s biggest heartthrob fanboy over him, it was safe to conclude the bromance was mutual.

“It was an out-of-body experience. I literally have watched his work, especially recently — and in ‘Beautiful Boy’ I was blown away — so I was so excited to tell him that and then he recognized me and I lost my train of thought. It was really kind, ” he told AOL.

Amid all of the Oscars drama following Kevin Hart nixing his hosting duties, Seacrest agrees that the Academy should indeed, go host-free.

“My professional opinion is we’re so close to the Oscars it would be very tough for someone to step in and feel like they’re ready.”

Martha Stewart runs in a tight-knit circle, counting Snoop Dog and Ralph Lauren as good friends. The domestic guru even had dinner with 22-year-old supermodel Bella Hadid on Wednesday night — but it’s her look-alike publicist and BFF that has us captivated.

Meet Susan Magrino! She is a PR genius, whose eponymous public relations company was recently named one of the most powerful PR firms of 2018. Not only is she Martha Stewart’s side-kick, but she’s an underrated uptown fashion icon.

Her Instagram series #emergingfromthedoor showcases Magrino’s daily outfits as she leaves her chic Manhattan home. From Versace blazers to Pucci caftans and Yves Saint Laurent jackets made from vintage dreams, her collection of iconic and contemporary pieces is pretty unbelievable.

Martha Stewart reveals what Snoop Dogg got her for the holidays

It’s no secret Martha Stewart and Snoop Dogg are totally unexpected BFFs, but just like Jimmy Fallon and Justin Timberlake and Jennifer Aniston and Courteney Cox, every celebrity needs their sidekick.

AOL caught up with Martha at the 2019 Fashion Scholarship Fund in New York City, where she was honored for the Lifetime Achievement Award. The 82nd Annual scholarship Awards dinner raised $3.5 Million for Scholarships with the help of Macy’s Hal Lawton and Ryan Seacrest, who was awarded with the Style Icon award.

The domestic guru revealed the “strange” place where she rang in the New Year and what her and Snoop exchanged as holiday presents.

“He got a pressure cooker and I got some seeds,” she said laughing.  “I was in a strange place [for the New Year] — Hobart Tasmania! There was a taste of Tasmania going on and we just celebrated with friends down there in the harbor. It’s south of Australia, where koala bears, wallabies and Tasmanian devils live!”

As for what’s in store for season 3 of VH!’s “Martha & Snoop’s Potluck Dinner Party,” Martha didn’t give too much away but she ensured an A-list celebrity line-up.

“Its all fantastic, we have great guests and it’s going to be a lot of fun!”

Jennifer Lopez had 10 outfit changes in two days

Originally published on

Jennifer Lopez proved she’s a pro when it comes to outfit changes.

The triple threat, who is currently making her press tour rounds to promote her latest film “Second  Act,” conquered 10 looks in just two days. From ocean-esqué sequins to a Fendi Zucca fur, we should give credit where credit’s due to her epic duo styling team, Rob Zangardi and Mariel Haenn.

Jennifer started off her busy Tuesday in a head-to-toe white look by Stephane Rolland for her appearance on “Watch What Happens Live” with Andy Cohen. The keyhole neck and super wide-leg pants made for the first of many jaw-dropping looks to come.

The winter whites didn’t stop there. Next, J.Lo stopped by “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” in a super feminine A-line dress cinched at the waist with metal belt and plunging neckline. The movie star finished off her look courtesy of sky-high Jimmy Choo pumps.

Of course, she needed to change it up for her exit, so she switched gears into a full-on Maxmara groutfit (aka an all grey outfit) to depart from “The Tonight Show.”

She continued her monochromatic theme for SiriusXM’s Town Hall in another all-white ensemble, also by Stephane Rolland. The mom-of-two layered up in a wine-hued floor length fur, bringing us back to the ’90s era of J.Lo we all know and love.

Eventually, she headed to BLT Steak for a much-needed date night with boyfriend Alex Rodriguez, and braced the NYC winter in a Fendi Zucca fur coat. Underneath, J.Lo sported a perforated nude leather dress paired with matching suede thigh-high boots, and a parisian-style beret.

The next day, Jennifer first appeared on “Good Morning America” where she opted out of her neutral tones and stunned in a blue sequin wide-leg jumpsuit with a matching overcoat. In the afternoon, the singer had a mother-daughter date with her mom, Guadalupe, looking chicer than ever in another groutfit, posing in front of a Christmas tree.

For “Live with Kelly & Ryan,” Jennifer amped it up in a Maison Valentino black and white cape, complete with thigh-high Louboutins, because why not?

Finally, the best fashion moment came when she brought the drama for the world premier of “Second Act” wearing a fuchsia tulle couture gown by Giambattisa Valli. The show-stopping dress featured a high-low hem with a train too long to dance in so naturally, she slipped into a sexy white dress for the after party, alongside Vanessa Hudgens.

Monday night, Kendall Jenner conquered London in a knock-out gown by Julien Macdonald.

The 2018 British Fashion Awards brought out the likes of style icons including Kate Moss and Victoria Beckham, who were joined by forces of the next generation, Kaia Gerber and Winnie Harlow (both were nominated for Model of the Year, which Kaia won).

Kendall might not have been a nominee, but the 23-year-old super model still turned heads in a totally sheer, gold sequin dress featuring strong shoulders. Only sporting cheeky undergarments, Kendall bared her legs with a sexy slit, despite the winter chill.

Equal parts sexy and minimal, she kept the rest of her look simple with her pushed back hair, dainty gold heels and slim hoop earrings.

The second-youngest Kar-Jenner has had a slew of epic style moments over the year. From off-duty to red carpet, check them out below!

Gigi Hadid has a monochrome moment in Pantone’s Color of the Year

On and off the runway, Gigi Hadid is our forever fashion muse.

On her way to a Vogue event in New York City on Wednesday, the 23-year-old supermodel put her own spin on Pantone’s 2018 Color of the Year: Coral.

Rocking the vibrant hue from head-to-toe, Gigi wore a custom look by Ronald van der Kemp. The Dutch designer is synonymous with creating sustainable-couture clothing made from reworked fabrics. Her orange silk blouse fastened right at the torso, flashing a beam of flesh courtesy of her undone buttons.

On the bottom, the blonde bombshell extenuated her legs-for-days thanks to the high-rise fit of her cotton lace ultra-flared pants. She topped off the rest of her dynamic look with floral pointed toe pumps, making us forget winter hasn’t even officially started yet. In the beauty department, Gigi accented her already-stunning blue eyes with blush-coral toned eyeshadow to complete the ensemble.

From hotel pools to night clubs, Kanye West, Cardi B, Travis Scott, G-Eazy and Lil Wayne all performed at various parties, while Princess Eugenie and Jacks Brooksbank escaped the scene, throwing an under-the-radar dinner party for London-based art gallery Hauser & Wirth.

Serena Williams and Alicia Keys were spotted from a VIP Balcony watching Swizz Beatz perform at a Bacardi Party. The day before, Venus Williams attended a Prada event and posed alongside Emma Roberts and Migos’ frontman Quavo.

It wouldn’t be a party without the Hilton sisters, so of course, Paris and Nicky stepped out in glittering outfits for a party hosted by Perrier-Jouët.

Rumor has it, Leonardo Dicaprio grabbed a low-key dinner with Bono, and Jennifer Lopez and A.Rod showcased some PDA over at Prime 112 restaurant.

Best of 2018: Our favorite Gigi Hadid sightings of the year

Originally published on

Landing her 35th Vogue cover by the age 23, there’s no doubt that Gigi Hadid is one of the most in-demand supermodels and the true definition of an “It” girl.

2018 has been a busy year for Gigi. From her major beauty collaboration with Maybelline to her final Tommy Hilfiger collection spanning across four seasons, Gigi’s world domination in the fashion space does not go unnoticed.

When she’s not walking the runway, her off-duty style is a force to be reckoned with – one that’s equally sexy as it is sporty.

There were ripped jeans, cropped hoodies, cool sneakers and everything in between, but Gigi also owned a slew of iconic catsuit moments.  Perhaps the most memorable was the time she rocked a super retro colorful Versace catsuit to the 2018 CFDA awards. After the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, the blonde bombshell headed to the after party in a silver metallic catsuit featuring a matching choker, also by Versace.

Plus, we can’t forget the gold Versace mini dress she wore in April to celebrate her golden birthday for a night out in NYC.

Amal Clooney can do it all!

The human rights lawyer was spotted leaving the Four Season Hotel in New York City juggling her gorgeous twins this week. Amal and George Clooney became parents last June to their one-year-olds, daughter Ella and son Alexander.

Amal stunned in a chic black ensemble accessorized with a leopard scarf, cadet hat and left it to her shoes to make a statement. Her knee-high combat Stuart Weitzman Pippa boots featured a lace-up front and 3-inch leather block heel, edging up her entire look.

Ella and Alexander can be seen holding adorable teddy bears and both rocking mini Adidas sneakers. This marks one of the very few times that George and Amal’s twins have been seen in public.

Amber Heard: Women are ‘loud, vocal and upset’

Originally published on

Amber Heard is a woman of many talents.

She’s an A-list actress, she can sing and most importantly, she has a way with words. Not only is Heard bilingual (we witnessed her fluent Spanish firsthand on the red carpet) but the 29-year-old actress has become a force in many of today’s hard-hitting movements. From “Me Too” to “Time’s Up” and a frequent advocate for women’s and LGBTQI rights, Heard has successfully made her voice heard.

AOL caught up with the “Aquaman” actress at the L’Oréal Paris 13th Anniversary of its Women of Worth celebration. Back in May, L’Oréal announced Amber as their newest global spokesperson, joining the likes of Eva Longoria and Julianne Moore who were also in attendance.

The celebration, which took place in New York City, honored philanthropic women who are making a difference in their neighborhoods. Amber expressed her excitement of how women, who might not necessarily be movie stars or have mega platforms, are pioneering and taking charge.

“This is the incredible thing about living today. We are in the middle of seeing exactly how much power has shifted. Our world has changed dramatically and it has changed, not because of activists or actors or celebrities or politicians or leaders or outdated institutions,” she said. “It’s because now the power is quite literally in your hand. And the power of us connecting with one another and finding a global community — one that isn’t responding to topical pressures that are limited to geography or certain social economic conditions, but rather one that is responding to our unique shared humanity and the trials that go with experiencing that as one life on one globe is what connects us.”

“We can continue to use the power that’s in your hand right now and find community with one another, break down lines barriers and labels and start pushing the conversation forward.

The “Pineapple Express” actress also addressed the recent midterm elections and the outcome of the House elects. She explained how we can all do our part to accomplish world change and it starts by “picking up our phones.”

“We [women] are half the population. We are increasingly loud, vocal and upset. With that knowledge and with that awareness comes also the inherent and explicit realization and recognition of injustice. I, for one, believe that injustice is not sustainable. I’m excited to see a record number of women step up to the plate because we’ve been waiting for so long…It won’t be done for us.”

“If we want to affect world change we’ve got to pick up our phones, we’ve got to organize, we’ve got to communicate with one another and we’ve got to support one another and only then, when we actually take action, when we pick up the pens and we change how things are written will we start to see world change,” she continued.

Ariana Grande, Alicia Keys, Cyndi Lauper attend Billboard Women In Music 2018

Ellie Goulding hosted the 13th annual Billboard Women In Music celebration on Thursday night.

The room was full of some of the most pioneering women in music history including Alicia Keys, Trailblazer Award winner Janelle Monaé, and Cyndi Lauper, who was honored with the Icon Award.

Patti LaBelle presented Ariana Grande with the Women of the Year Award, where she performed her hit song “Thank U, Next,” sporting her signature high pony-tail, thigh-high boots and wearing a pre-fall Christian Siriano mini-dress that has yet to hit the runway.

“I want to say that I find it interesting that this has been one of the best years of my career and like the worst of my life. I’m not saying that for sympathy. I’m just saying that because I feel like a lot of people would look at someone in my position right now … and think, ‘She’s really got her shit together,’ you know? Like, ‘She’s really on it.’ Like, ‘She’s got it all,” Ariana said in her candid acceptance speech. “I do, but as far as my personal life goes, I really have no idea what the f–k I’m doing,” she admitted.

Other winners included country star Kacey Musgraves, who took home the Innovator Award and performed an acoustic performance of “Butterflies” from her newly Grammy-nominated album “Golden Hour.”
